Nikko Tools introduces Double Rek, the new versatile milling system that guarantees reliable shouldering applications with superior accuracy.
Double Rek system is based on double-sided rectangular inserts with 4 cutting edges. The inserts are larger than conventional inserts, thicker than conventional solutions that allow high depths of cut (APMX 15 mm.)
The strength of Double Rek is the increased thickness of inserts, which extends the contact surfaces resulting in a quick and very stable positioning of inserts on the cutter body. Inserts rest orthogonally on two sides, offering two wide contact surfaces that lead to stable and reliable operations. Furthermore, the increased thickness promotes a better heat dissipation and higher strength, also for significant material removal amounts.
The inserts’ high rake angle enables soft cutting action; the wiper facet is large (BS = 3.2 mm) and inserts are precision ground for a perfect finishing.
The internal coolant milling bodies are available in two versions: cylindrical (Z2 and Z3) and arbor (from Z4 up to Z10.)
The Double Rek system is particularly recommended for roughing of cast iron or steel.
