Micro Vortex are small-size tools combined with indexable ground inserts for internal turning of small holes (from 5 mm diameter) and threading (from 8 mm diameter.)
Boring bars are made of a special steel that dumps vibrations and results in high-quality surface finish in both turning and threading operations.
Vortex technology improves the chip ejection and allows overhang up to 5xD; the coolant jet direction is optimized.
Inserts are available with PVD micrograin carbide: the tough substrate allows very good performances even at medium-low cutting speeds; uncoated cermet inserts are suggested for stable machining, high cutting speeds, and outstanding surface finishing.
Turning inserts are combined with the PPF ground chipbreaker, a very sharp solution recommended for super-finishing applications. Threading inserts are available with the TPM chipbreaker that guarantees perfect chip control even in very small hole machining.
